Huellas de Amor

En el Miami Fashion Week que se llevara a cabo este año, Cecilia Perez presentara el Domingo 15 de Abril a las 7:30 pm su colección titulada: “Huellas de Amor".

La razón detrás del titulo nace a partir de la dedicación de dicha colección a mis nietos por que las huellas impregnadas de amor perduran en el día y en el tiempo.

Cada pieza es una huella indeleble única que permanece implantada en mi corazón y la cual ha requerido trabajo artesanal, horas de imaginación y días de labor manual.

Huellas de Amor, sera la coleccion Primavera - Verano 2008. Comprendera de veinticinco (25) prendas Haute Couture, que han sido creadas rememorando colores e imagenes.

Los colores que predominaran en dicha coleecion son: el blanco, negro y hueso , siempre parte de la paleta utilizada en mis diseños. Habra un salpicon diverso reflejando los colores de las hojas , las flores , el mar , los corales y la brisa que caracterizan la temporada.

La mayoria de los trajes vaporosos con un toque sutil pastel y en ella iran tambien aquellas combinaciones de matices , colores , texturas y textiles que son caracteristicos de mi trabajo a lo largo de mi carrera.

Habran rosas romanticas , colores alegres , blancura de paz y aquel azul que no puedo ignorar al estar a la orilla del mar.

Espero con esta pasarela dar calificacion al nombre que le he adjudicado.

Love Prints

On the upcoming Miami Fashion Week taking place in April of this year, Cecilia Perez will show her Spring 2008 collection titled: "Love Prints".

The underlining reason behind the title is a dedication to my grandchildren because the artistic prints impregnated with love, survive the days and time.

Each piece is a unique print that remains implanted in my heart requiring artisan work, hours of thought and days of manual labor.

I hope you'll enjoy the collection as much as I have developing it.

Vogue's Images

By surfing the web, sometimes you find suprising details published way after they've been done.

Some people close to me had mentioned that they had seen images from Miami Fashion Week in Europe but then I never got to see the magazine.

All of a sudden, last weekend, I got to see some of the images published in Vogue (Spanish). Amazingly enough, there were some of my favorite pieces there and this is when I decided to add this comment to my blog.

Artist at Heart

Cecilia Perez is an avant-garde Colombian designer in the Fashion World. Her career started twenty-two (22) years ago as an Haute Couture Designer.

Her mother impregnated her with the love for seam since she was a little girl growing an interest towards French couture in diverse areas such as patronage, textures and finishes. However; her licentiate studies were with a Plastic Arts Major where she shared vital remembrances with known professors in the field.

Art is the thriving blood that expands in her veins thanks to her father. Thus, Fashion Design emerged naturally and today, each of her Haute Couture pieces are unique with harmony and balance embellishments with the use of embroideries and muslin.

Even though she has maintained a low profile, Cecilia’s clientele has grown abroad due to its aloof and chic demand. Celebrities from Colombia and neighboring countries have fell in love with the impeccable taste of this Designer.

She has participated in several Fashion Shows in the last year. Miami Fashion Week 2006 launched her international exposure. The event took place on opening night and 48 pieces captivated audiences from around the world and the press.

On September, 2006, Cecilia Perez participated in Dubai, Arab Emirates leaving a strong footprint in this market.

Fort D’France (Martinique Fashion Week) was the next runway where she shared designs with colleagues such as Lorenzo Merlino, J’Doucet and Mohammed Daugher among others. She was awarded the recognition of “Best Designer”.

For the current year, 2007, she will participate in several events. Miami Fashion Week in April is a runway she wants to repeat. Other catwalk that will show off Cecilia Perez glamour will take place in Coral Gables, FL. New York will be an additional scenario visited by the Designer with her Haute Couture pieces.

Cecilia Perez va al Miami Fashion Week en el 2006

En Mayo del 2006, Cecilia Perez hizo su aparicion por primera vez en el Miami Fashion Week. A pesar de llevar 22 anos en esta labor, no se habia internacionalizado hasta el ano pasado.

El titulo de su coleccion: "My Heritage" lo cual traduce Mi Herencia. La razon para dicho titulo es que la coleccion es una cadena de herencias. El arte y el gusto por lo fino heredado de su padre y la labor manual de costura aprendida de su madre. Siempre sus padres supieron fomentar la creatividad y tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a clases de arte desde pequena.

El Miami Fashion Week la lanzo internacionalmente y repetira este evento en el 2007.

To talk about fashion trends is a difficult subject, you could say these depend more on the woman that wears it than of a season.

Simplicity is always in! Simplicity is a leader, elegance becomes the follower.

When would you wear this dress? Can you define a season for it? Probably not.

It can be well worn everyday or every night, depending on the occassion and how the woman carries on with it.
