Rally for Kids With Cancer: Need I Say More?

On November 20th and 21st Cecilia Perez participated for the first time as a proud sponsor of Rally for Kids with Cancer, a majestic charity pushed forward by an actress that is not only beautiful on the outside but more so in the inside, Eva Longoria. This charity helps kids with no funds to continue on with their cancer treatments. The courageous strengths of these souls are an inspiration to anybody in the world. Their smiles yet their health so devastated by a mortal sickness is a boost for the spirit of any human being.

Cecilia Perez got the opportunity to share again a moment with Eva Longoria but this time it was the most wonderful of all giving the opportunity for fashion to hold the hands of many children that need some TLC to continue on with a battle that can be disheartening. Still, their faith and hopeful eyes are the best gift one can receive.

We want to thank Eva Longoria for inviting us to participate in this beautiful cause and want to make this invitation extensive to all of those that can help, anything counts and can save a child's life.

2009 Year in Review: From the Desk of Cecilia Perez

Several events have been the highlights of the year.

Cecilia Perez wants to communicate with her clients, staff members and sponsors to detail the aftermath of the present year.

In anticipation to Thanksgiving and with the intention of thanking all people who have made this year a success, Cecilia Perez wants to make sure there is clarity and knowledge as to the happenings within the current year.

Many people have had a collaborative spirit and ample participation in Cecilia Perez Haute Couture 2009 various runways, festivals and directives.

During the month of April, Black Tie Magazine celebrated the Anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales, with the presentation of a runway which Cecilia Perez took an Haute Couture preview. Several weeks later, also during the month of April, a private runway took place organized by Mr. Emanuele Viscuso as part of the Sicilian Film Festival in Coral Gables, Florida.

This year was particularly significant for the Haute Couture Designer because she was able to be active in her native country, Colombia showing her collection.

A cocktail party in the Dann Carlton Hotel in Bogota, Colombia was offered by Cecilia Perez where a wedding dress exhibition full of flair and taste was flaunted. Alex Flaque, President of Gaudi House was gladly impressed by what he saw and expressed through diverse media that he hadn't seen such an exciting design in twenty years.

On September, the runway named ALO Bit Woman unfolded in front of the Colombian public. The funds collected through this runway have the objective of achieving a dream for a child with cancer. Cecilia Perez is proud to have been there and hope the dream of many children are accomplished.

October was a stimulating month with contrasting and satisfying events. On the 14th, she was selected to introduce some of her pieces in the Vanidades Runway. Even though, she couldn't personally attend, the haute couture pieces were shown and very well received. That same week, Cali Exposhow took place. This was truthfully the first time Cecilia Perez has a complete runway with her collection in Colombia. The show titled Cara Sposa had excellent national and international press comments and attendance.

Lastly, Cecilia Perez wants to close the year not only thanking but inviting time and time again all clients, sponsors, presenters, staff and press to continue looking forward to years to come with a spirit of love and happiness.

Miami Living Magazine Publishes Cecilia Perez Designs

Miami Living Magazine's issue features Cecilia Perez designs in this month's issue. Five pages with several designs that introduces the Spring collection for 2010.

The colors that are primarily used throughout the collection are bronze, ocre, black, beige and gold. Laces continue to awe the public! Wear your fall colors in a Spring night and open mouths as you make an entrance.

Miami Living Magazine is a magazine that is distributed throughout diverse retail stores, hotels and entertainment locations. This Magazine exhibits new and upcoming trends in Miami's lifestyle.

Now, the exclusive wedding dresses designed by Cecilia Perez arrive to "The Knot". The dresses offered through the huge # 1 wedding gown site are all custom made. Yesterday, the newsletter published by "The Knot" launched Cecilia Perez as one of their featured designers.

Expectations are high and quality immaculate for five pieces that can be admired and bought through "The Knot". Any potential buyer will have the opportunity to talk to the Designer if need be. She is very involved in the process, especially in regards to Brides since understands this is their day to shine.

Press Release: 2009 Sicilian Film Festival

The winners of the fourth Miami's 2009 Sicilian Film Festival have been declared
The fourth annual Sicilian Film Festival, which has become America's window
to Sicilian cinematography and culture, came to a close on April 19th in Miami Beach. The Festival's goal is to promote Sicilians abroad and to furthermore remind the general public that a substantial part of the most notable Hollywood celebrities have Sicilian origins.
This year, the Festival's activities were held at the Miami Beach Cinematheque; its pre-opening party was held at the elegant house of Hon Marco Rocca, Consul General of Italy in Miami and its final traditional festivity was held at the
Villa Viscuso with a party in honor of Franco Nero, after the screening of his movie The Breath Of Life that Franco Nero shot in Palermo together wit his wife Vanessa Redgrave. Among the many celebrities attending the party, the Italian
designer Renato Balestra, the Italian Oscar Award Francesca Lo Schiavo, HRH Princess Thi-Nga of Vietnam and many more. The closing event had the special touch of a song show by Kelly Roberts and a fashion show by Cecilia Perez, whose inspiration for this show was Sicily. During the closing event, the jury, made up of Claudio Angelini,Ed Cristin, Dana Keith, Camillo Ricordi, Marco Rocca and Jannette Stark awarded the movies af follows:

Cecilia Perez goes to NY Couture Fashion Week

Accomplished fashion designer Cecilia Perez will present her latest collection at Couture Fashion Week in New York City. The fashion show will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 in the Majestic Ballroom of the elegant Westin Times Square Hotel, in the heart of the Big Apple.

Couture Fashion Week is a multi-day event showcasing couture and luxury fashion. It also includes exhibits of luxury brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment and receptions. The event is held in top venues in New York City, Palm Beach, Florida and other selected cities and is attended by upscale consumers, invited VIPs, the press and high-end store buyers. Couture Fashion Week offers unique branding opportunities for luxury products and services.

Para elegir el vestido de novia debemos tener en cuenta que se trata de una obra arquitectónica que debe rescatar todos los atributos que posee la novia para hacer de ella el personaje mas relevante y destacado.

Tejidos, formas, bordados y detalles se conjugan para vestir a las novias más esplendidas y seductoras y convertirlas en auténticas reinas de la fiesta.


Las nuevas tendencias admiten un abanico de colores como son: tornasolado beige dorado, hueso, ciertos toques de plateado y en general todo aquello que vaya con su personalidad.

Contamos con una gran variedad de texturas : organzas, velos, tules, con los cuales se debe hacer volantes, drapeados o plisados.

Eva Longoria to Receive Gift

Cecilia Perez has now become an official celebrity gift lounge participant.

In the Alma Awards 2007 taking place today June 1st., Eva Longoria will be provided with a Cecilia Perez Haute Couture gown as a gift to be used in a subsequent public appearance.

Cecilia Perez was reached out and decided to participate in a Retreat. Eva Longoria selected a piece of the newest collection and she'll be owning an exclusive piece of Cecilia Perez.

Glamour is the name of the game when it comes to Cecilia Perez runway on April 15th at the Miami Fashion Week.

Sophistication, elegance and a distinct flow were elements present in all of the 25 pieces shown throughout her collection. A classical distinction of year round colors and some brilliant ones stood out.

Huellas de Amor

En el Miami Fashion Week que se llevara a cabo este año, Cecilia Perez presentara el Domingo 15 de Abril a las 7:30 pm su colección titulada: “Huellas de Amor".

La razón detrás del titulo nace a partir de la dedicación de dicha colección a mis nietos por que las huellas impregnadas de amor perduran en el día y en el tiempo.

Cada pieza es una huella indeleble única que permanece implantada en mi corazón y la cual ha requerido trabajo artesanal, horas de imaginación y días de labor manual.

Huellas de Amor, sera la coleccion Primavera - Verano 2008. Comprendera de veinticinco (25) prendas Haute Couture, que han sido creadas rememorando colores e imagenes.

Los colores que predominaran en dicha coleecion son: el blanco, negro y hueso , siempre parte de la paleta utilizada en mis diseños. Habra un salpicon diverso reflejando los colores de las hojas , las flores , el mar , los corales y la brisa que caracterizan la temporada.

La mayoria de los trajes vaporosos con un toque sutil pastel y en ella iran tambien aquellas combinaciones de matices , colores , texturas y textiles que son caracteristicos de mi trabajo a lo largo de mi carrera.

Habran rosas romanticas , colores alegres , blancura de paz y aquel azul que no puedo ignorar al estar a la orilla del mar.

Espero con esta pasarela dar calificacion al nombre que le he adjudicado.

Love Prints

On the upcoming Miami Fashion Week taking place in April of this year, Cecilia Perez will show her Spring 2008 collection titled: "Love Prints".

The underlining reason behind the title is a dedication to my grandchildren because the artistic prints impregnated with love, survive the days and time.

Each piece is a unique print that remains implanted in my heart requiring artisan work, hours of thought and days of manual labor.

I hope you'll enjoy the collection as much as I have developing it.

Vogue's Images

By surfing the web, sometimes you find suprising details published way after they've been done.

Some people close to me had mentioned that they had seen images from Miami Fashion Week in Europe but then I never got to see the magazine.

All of a sudden, last weekend, I got to see some of the images published in Vogue (Spanish). Amazingly enough, there were some of my favorite pieces there and this is when I decided to add this comment to my blog.

Artist at Heart

Cecilia Perez is an avant-garde Colombian designer in the Fashion World. Her career started twenty-two (22) years ago as an Haute Couture Designer.

Her mother impregnated her with the love for seam since she was a little girl growing an interest towards French couture in diverse areas such as patronage, textures and finishes. However; her licentiate studies were with a Plastic Arts Major where she shared vital remembrances with known professors in the field.

Art is the thriving blood that expands in her veins thanks to her father. Thus, Fashion Design emerged naturally and today, each of her Haute Couture pieces are unique with harmony and balance embellishments with the use of embroideries and muslin.

Even though she has maintained a low profile, Cecilia’s clientele has grown abroad due to its aloof and chic demand. Celebrities from Colombia and neighboring countries have fell in love with the impeccable taste of this Designer.

She has participated in several Fashion Shows in the last year. Miami Fashion Week 2006 launched her international exposure. The event took place on opening night and 48 pieces captivated audiences from around the world and the press.

On September, 2006, Cecilia Perez participated in Dubai, Arab Emirates leaving a strong footprint in this market.

Fort D’France (Martinique Fashion Week) was the next runway where she shared designs with colleagues such as Lorenzo Merlino, J’Doucet and Mohammed Daugher among others. She was awarded the recognition of “Best Designer”.

For the current year, 2007, she will participate in several events. Miami Fashion Week in April is a runway she wants to repeat. Other catwalk that will show off Cecilia Perez glamour will take place in Coral Gables, FL. New York will be an additional scenario visited by the Designer with her Haute Couture pieces.

Cecilia Perez va al Miami Fashion Week en el 2006

En Mayo del 2006, Cecilia Perez hizo su aparicion por primera vez en el Miami Fashion Week. A pesar de llevar 22 anos en esta labor, no se habia internacionalizado hasta el ano pasado.

El titulo de su coleccion: "My Heritage" lo cual traduce Mi Herencia. La razon para dicho titulo es que la coleccion es una cadena de herencias. El arte y el gusto por lo fino heredado de su padre y la labor manual de costura aprendida de su madre. Siempre sus padres supieron fomentar la creatividad y tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a clases de arte desde pequena.

El Miami Fashion Week la lanzo internacionalmente y repetira este evento en el 2007.

Cecilia Perez - Biografia

Cecilia Pérez, es una diseñadora Colombiana, que ha marcado pauta en el mundo de la moda. Veintidos (22) años atrás inicio su carrera en diseño de “Alta Costura”.

Su madre, amante a la costura, le inculco la importancia de esta guiando a Cecilia desde niña a conocer de corte, patronaje, tejidos y terminados de alta costura francesa. Sin embargo, sus estudios primaron como artista plástico, ya que es licenciada en Bellas Artes y estudio con profesores destacados en este campo dentro de su país de origen.

El arte lo lleva en la venas heredado de su padre.

Lo anterior la llevo a diseñar sus propios trajes, combinando estos dos elementos, asi nació la iniciativa de diseñar para otros.

Hoy por hoy, sus piezas son de" Alta Costura" únicas y exclusivas. No se permite repetir modelo alguno, cada pieza combina: equilibrio, armonía, texturas, haciendo de ellas un diseño exclusivo, donde su enfoque y pasiones son delicadamente transmitido a traves de estos, combinando diferentes tipos de telas y texturas, destacándose como su preferencia encajes y muselinas".

“No me considero una diseñadora, sino una artista con un arpa cuyas cuerdas entonan una musa en mi alma, necesarias de plasmar que me permiten compartir con los demás sus mas hermosos momentos, haciendo cada diseño exclusivo e inolvidable, entregando en ellos consagración y amor”. Quiero agradecer a todas y cada una de las personas que me han elevado con sus sueños y eventos significativos pues han sido tan importantes para cada uno de ellos como para mí. Espero continuar cumpliendo a carta cabal con dichas personas ya que me han entregado su corazón".Pienso que sin amor, no hay nada". Cecilia Pérez.

La moda para Cecilia Pérez ha sido una vena que se ha desprendido del mundo artístico en el cual ha vivido sumida en su mente y espíritu desde que tiene uso de razón. Cecilia Pérez, una diseñadora de bajo perfil que ha desarrollado su carrera en Colombia, no ha pasado indiferente ante los ojos más exigentes cuando de lucir impecable se trata. Famosos y personalidades de la elite Colombiana y países vecinos y extranjeros, han confiado en el gusto y profesionalismo de la diseñadora.

Gracias a este reconocimiento fue invitada a participar en el Miami Fashion Week en Mayo del 2006 con una pasarela individual de 48 prendas , todas de Alta Costura que cautivaron a los comentaristas, prensa y comerciantes, de diferentes partes del mundo, obteniendo invitaciones a diferentes e importantes pasarelas.

Participo en el mes de Spbre en Dubai, Emiratos Arabes , dejando alli un gran reconocimiento y dando sus primeros pasos en dicho mercado,recibiendo propuestas para posesionarse alli con un perfil V.I.P. en dicha ciudad y sus alrededores.

Luego sin descanso alguno fue invitada a Fort D´France departiendo con otros diseñadores tales como Lorenzo Merlino, J´Doucet, Mohamed Daugher; entre otros , obteniendo el unico galardon alli otorgado:"Mejor Diseñador".

No dejare la parte artística, pues hace parte de mi vida, desde que nací: comenta ella.

En su agenda del año 2007,cuenta con proyectos tales como: participar en el Miami Fashion Week nuevamente, presentar una coleccion en Nueva York y hacer un desfile en Coral Gables , Florida.

Artistic Fashion

Haute Couture is an art. Haute Couture is a French phrase for high fashion. Couture means dressmaking, sewing, or needlework and haute means elegant or high, so the two combined imply excellent artistry with the fashioning of garments.

The fabrics available to a couture house are very luxurious and include novelty fabrics and expensive silks, fine wools, cashmeres, cottons, linens, leather, suede, other skins or furs. In the case of a famous design house the design and color of a cloth, can be exclusively reserved for that couture house.

Cecilia Perez says: "Fashion has been a vein that has branched off from the artistic world I've been submerged to in my mind and spirit since I have use of reasoning."
